Located high above the beach and overlooking the glorious views of Bass Rock, May Island and Firth of Forth the Log Cabin at Ravensheugh has a wonderful love story behind its conception. It was built in the 60s in true canadian style at the request of the Earl of Haddington for his Canadian wife, to remind her of home. It’s beautifully rustic and in tune with nature and will make for some once in a lifetime wedding photos.

The Log Cabin can be customised completely to suit you and your partners needs with a marquee on the lawn and any style of decoration. If you love to camp, you and your guests are free to sleep under the stars. Otherwise you have the option of luxury treehouses or some beautiful hotels nearby.

2. Eagle Brae

If there was ever a place crafted with 100% love and care it’s Eagle Brae and it’s the place where all your fairytale adventure dreams can come true. Even though it’s nestled on a tranquil hilltop surrounded by magnificent scenery it’s teeming with wildlife and activities to do. If you want to pair it back and go truly rustic you’ll be charmed by Roulotte Retreat. Nestled in a wild meadow are Six French Roulottes - Devanna, Karlotta, Gitana, Maharani, Shivanni, Zenaya and one Dutch roulotte, Rosa Bella, positioned around a lochan in the heart of the Scottish Borders.

If you want a completely unique wedding then this is for you - it’s the only place in the UK with a collection of French hand carved roulettes. It’s very eco-chic romantique. You can have your ceremony in the middle of a wildflower meadow and then as the celebrations continue, make use of the communal fire pit next to the lochan and stargaze as the night draws in.
