No one can deny the beauty of this magical beach in St Andrews. When Emma and Jamie mentioned they wanted their pre-wedding shoot to take place at the West Sands Beach in St Andrews, I knew this was going to be an incredible shoot so we deliberately chose sunset time for their engagement photos hoping that the weather would be on our side too - and guess what? The sky opened up and the sun shone through. It was magical!

One of the reasons St Andrews is a perfect location for engagement photos is because of it’s rocky and sandy beach - both within walking distance from one another. The combination of these two beaches allow for not only some of the best photos but also a beautiful atmosphere. The fresh smell of the ocean breeze, the wind brushing against your cheeks and the sound of crashing waves all add up to create a unique atmosphere.

Emma and Jamie chose the West Sands Beach, St Andrews as this was the place they got engaged a while ago. As it was their first photoshoot together, I really wanted to take things slowly to let them get comfortable in front of the camera so I guided them through a few of my photo tricks to get them distracted and make their experience fun whilst capturing some of the best shots! Later on, when I shared their gallery, Emma said “We love them!!! The gifs are so cute”.
