Kenzie and James’ love story began in the most unexpected way, while working together onboard the American Empress after first meeting during an officers training program in New Orleans. What started as simple conversations between shifts quickly turned into something much more after fellow crew members helped spark a connection between them. Sharing the same rotational schedule gave them the chance to travel together, plan adventures, and build a relationship across countless trips back and forth. Before long, they both knew this was forever.

Their proposal story was just as unforgettable. While travelling through Greece, James secretly worked with the MedSailors team to plan the perfect proposal in Hydra. During a private zodiac ride to a secluded inlet surrounded by olive trees and a tiny church, he surprised Kenzie with a message in a bottle asking her to spend forever with him. Of course, she said yes.

The couple brought their incredible love story to Scotland for a breathtaking wedding celebration at Carlowrie Castle.

From the elegant Orangery ceremony to cocktails overlooking the castle grounds, every part of the day felt timeless, romantic, and full of emotion. Kenzie looked absolutely stunning, while James’ reaction seeing her for the first time was a moment nobody will forget.

The entire day perfectly reflected who they are as a couple, adventurous, stylish, and deeply connected. Guests celebrated late into the night with heartfelt speeches, an unforgettable first dance, and a packed dance floor inside the castle.
