Arbroath Cliffs Marriage Proposal Photographer | Axel + Sharai

Axel got in touch with me a few weeks ago and filled me in on his plans to propose to Sharai during their adventure to Arbroath. Axel and I had a virtual call to discuss his plan for the proposal and a few ideas of how he would send a signal to me so that I knew he was about to get down on one knee.

We arrived at Arbroath Cliffs in the afternoon. Axel and I agreed beforehand that I would follow him and Sharai from afar to the exact spot he was going to propose. He took Sharai to a cliff overlooking the magnificent waters, then told her to pose for a photo where she would look out into the distance and whilst she believed he was capturing that very moment, this was his chance to prepare himself and get down on one knee and say the magic words, ‘Will you marry me?’. Sharai had absolutely no idea it was coming….

We then spent around an hour shooting natural and documentary engagement photos. Here are the sweet moments…
