Carberry Tower wedding photographer | Natalie + Samuel

Welcome back to the blog where we share more of our work, behind the scenes, wedding planning tips, guides and much more! We’re stoked to be sharing the sweet love story of Natalie and Samuel whose wedding we recently had the privilege of documenting.

Natalie and Samuel met at the university she studied at and he worked at. Being a part of their routine to jog around the university three times a week made it a special place for them both as it held so many wonderful memories of their time together. But preparing for the big moment that was about to come, Samuel made it a point to take Natalie down to one of their favourite trails to a spot beneath the trees. As he stood their gazing into her beautiful brown eyes, he popped the big question and telling Natalie he knew she was the one he was going to marry.

Natalie and Samuel flew down from America to tie the knot in bonny Scotland along with their closest family and friends. Their wedding day from start to finish was full of emotion, lots of love, laughter and happiness and the most amazing memories were created with loved ones.

Carberry Tower Mansion & Estate | A Musselburgh Intimate Destination Wedding

Musselburgh is the idyllic location if you’re looking to exchange vows in a place that’s full of rich history and culture. Being only a 15 minutes away from Edinburgh and found in the East Lothian region of Scotland, Musselburgh is the perfect coastal town boasting beautiful and spectacular views all around.

After tonnes of research to find the perfect venue, Natalie and Samuel had their hearts set on the tying the knot in the regal mansion, Carberry Tower, which just exuded character inside and out. With tree-lined driveways, sweeping lawns, perfectly landscaped ponds and meandering walkways, this mansion was the perfect place to have their special day!

Their vision for the day was to make their wedding a ‘true celebration’ which was personal to them and memorable so that they could relive every part of their day in years to come. Natalie and Samuel wanted their day to have a romantic and whimsical feel to it whilst being surrounded by their nearest and dearest and of course they chose a fun theme of gold, blush, terracotta & burgundy which totally complemented their personalities. Natalie and Samuel were the kind of couple that made everyone feel like family, with their warm and loving nature.

Incorporating family traditions was something important to both Natalie and Samuel which added a personal touch to their big day. During the wedding reception, they did a Danza which is a traditional Puerto Rican dance where the guest pay money to dance with the bride and groom. What made it even more special was the music for the dance was played originally by Samuel’s grandfather. The other tradition was having Natalie’s sister, sister-in-law and mother help her get ready and put on her wedding dress before walking down the aisle. By having such traditions as part of their big day gave them a sense of joy and happiness especially knowing that they were able to include close family members and their guests in one way or another.

As Scotland wedding photographers and videographers, we spend so much time with each couple and their family that makes us feel so close to them and by the time that it’s the end of the night, it’s always difficult to say goodbye... 😭🤍

Congratulations to you both Natalie and Samuel and thank you for trusting us to create art with you guys 🤍😍

“I am star struck!! These photos are absolutely breathtaking, I can't believe that it's us in these pictures. I'm blown away by how you managed to capture the little looks between us. The photos you too with Samuel glancing at me and smiling are perfection and so special to me💕. That look is something I'll treasure for years to come. I really want to express my profound thanks for making our trip so memorable and for helping Samuel loosen up enough to encapsulate these moments.”
